United Charter High Schools is committed to academic excellence in a welcoming, safe school environment. We develop, enlighten and challenge a range of learners to critically and creatively solve problems inside their classrooms, in their communities and out in the world. Through a rigorously structured system of teaching and learning, students advance their understanding of science, math and humanities concepts and master content, knowledge and skills, while project-based experiences spark their civic imagination and appetite for advocacy leadership.

At United Charter High Schools, we believe that our students are tomorrow’s leaders: they’re curious, informed and want to be inspired. UCHS challenges students to think critically by shifting the classroom model from students passively receiving information to students actively finding solutions to the real-world challenges and problems that matter in their lives and communities.

We believe there’s no reason a classroom can’t both prioritize the highest levels of academic excellence and remain adaptable to a range of learning styles. We use a problem-based learning model that empowers students to generate their own questions in the classroom and solve problems in their communities. From designing better questions to taking risks with their thinking to arrive at original solutions, we are preparing our students to be the next generation of local and global leaders, students who continue to drive impact after they graduate, building a shared legacy among schools, students and alumni.
