Friends of Seva Mandir, a US public charity, supports projects of Seva Mandir, a voluntary organization in Southern Rajasthan, India founded in 1968. Seva Mandir is currently working in over 700 villages, reaching over 70,000 households, providing early childcare, development and education for rural and tribal children, education, healthcare and empowerment programs for women and environmental and resource conservation programs. Seva Mandir works to strengthen people and their communities enabling them to achieve their own well being, following Gandhi principles.
