Science and engineering have never been more exciting, but remarkably little has changed in the way they are taught. BioBuilder brings a new model to STEM education. Instead of rote memorization and “ho-hum” lab experiments, BioBuilder uses engineering challenges to teach life science – partnering with teachers and students to ask university-level questions in their high school classrooms. The authenticity of our work sparks interest, engagement and understanding and empowers individuals in biotechnology.
