To nurture and strengthen Irish culture and heritage through programs emphasizing Irish music, literature, drama, traditional dancing, fine arts, and the constructive contributions of the Irish and Irish-American people to the United States of America.

....while providing a gathering place for the Irish American community and those interested in Irish culture.

The Irish American Heritage Center will become the premier Irish cultural organization by providing cultural programs in the arts for people of all ages. The IAHC will be recognized as a leading authority, a repository of material history, and a guiding force for Irish culture and heritage.

The IAHC will achieve this over a five-year period through five tenets of success:

-Creating a sense of home for the Irish - recognizing, strengthening, and celebrating the uniqe characteristics that have made the IAHC a special place

-Becoming the venue of choice for all Irish Cultural programming in Chicago

-Producing our own nationally recognized and award winning programs

-Providing appropriate activities to encourage the participation of all generations

-Developing a sound infrastructure that provides that resources to complete all objectives of the organization
