ORTOP FIRST Oregon

ORTOP (https://ortop.org) in affiliation with FIRST (www.firstinspires.org), offers three robotics programs that span grades 2 - 12. With the help of dedicated volunteers all over Oregon, we support up to 650 teams and 7500 students each year. Through team-based projects and challenges, students have the opportunity to learn and practice real-world skills such as problem solving, project management, mechanical design, and programming while building robots. ORTOP raises $1M annually and with a budgeted staff of 6, we help remove financial barriers to participation of underserved and underrepresented students. Our vision is for every Oregon student to belong and contribute to a community that celebrates STEM thinkers and makers.
