Telluris

Telluris intervenes within local indigenous communities who are in the process of impoverishment and who are losing their cultural roots. Our purpose is to support the real initiatives emerging from such communities so that they can prosper, in their own way, using & regenerating their natural resources, in respect of their culture. Our first and main action is social reconstruction and empowerment. Then when the villagers are sufficiently confident and empowered, they decide their projects and we support. Today, we are working among a tribal community in Jharkhand, India, called the Munda. We are supporting the following villagers' project : - Reforestation, - Water conservation, - Reviving indigenous medicine, - Kitchen and medicinal gardens, - Use of natural resources for reducing dependence on market, - Epem Depenga: exchanging the resources without money, - Tribal cooperative.
