About Vijana Revival Catalysts (VRC)
Vijana Revival Catalysts (VRC) is a youth-led, faith-based nonprofit empowering refugee and under-resourced youth in Uganda and the U.S. Founded in 2020 by Jerry Lukeka, a former refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, VRC began as a small living room gathering and now impacts over 2,000 youth annually.
In Uganda, VRC runs the Msika Kipaji Hub, a year-long mentorship and vocational training program for refugee girls, with 85% of graduates launching businesses or finding employment. The Voice of Revival Movement Hub fosters faith and creativity through fellowships, arts workshops, and leadership training, while the Vijana Music Hub develops youth in worship, songwriting, and sound engineering. Additional initiatives include refugee outreach, school fellowships, and a 10-week Leadership Academy rooted in values and trauma-informed care.
Launching in Massachusetts in 2026, VRC will offer soccer, mentorship, and arts-based camps for youth. All programs are designed and led by young people, many of them former refugees.
