USHO works to keep horses out of the slaughter pipeline by keeping them from going to the local kill sales. We help horses who have no other options, especially horses that other rescues are not equiped or not willing to deal with. We work to rehome Thoroughbreds from the racetracks in WV, OH and PA directly into new homes throughout the country. We actively support animal control and struggling horse owners in our tri-state region.
