Peaks Island Children's Workshop

The Peaks Island Children’s Workshop is a small, private, non-profit, licensed childcare center based on Peaks Island, just a few miles off the coast of Portland, Maine. The Workshop serves island families and is a central pillar of the Peaks Island community. At PICW, our program emphasizes children's independence and individuality and works to support each child as they learn about their ability to create, change, and evaluate. Our teachers create supportive and developmentally appropriate environments that allow children to make their own choices, form their own relationships, and guide their own learning within a community-based childcare setting.
