Our Vision: We envision a hope-filled world in which everyone we encounter can achieve impact and act as change agents in their community.

Our History: IMPACT Now was founded in 2014, and established as a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization in 2017, by Shola Akinwande. She quickly came to the understanding after putting together a theatrical production that her drive to empower people and see a positive change in her community, was not the completed vision given by God.  Shola wanted to give people like her, the opportunity to pursue their purpose and be fearless dreamers being provided the support and proper resources for personal and professional development. Since 2015, IMPACT Now has hosted a variety of events that service the community and developed leaders.The heartbeat of the organization is to inspire and empower people into their purpose, while positively changing the world around them. We have impacted the Maryland area through several clothing drives, children's talent show, community outreach, family Christmas dinner, fellowship programs, and internship opportunities.

Our Mission

IMPACT Now is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the state of Maryland that exists to create a vibrant ecosystem of leaders and creative change agents that bring their ideas to life to positively impact their communities.  We are a support system and champion for those passionate about societal change and those seeking to inspire & mobilize the next generation to drive change. 

Our strategic priorities:

Leadership Development- We exist to provide resources, internship opportunities, and workshops to empower our future leaders of tomorrow to grow and sustain their personal pursuits.

Community Outreach- We are zealous in our pursuit of seeing a positive change in the world through tangible expressions of love and generosity. We desire to inspire and mobilize individuals of all backgrounds to give back to the community in such a way that creates sustainable impact.

Social Innovation- Through this strategic focus, we enable individuals to discover their purpose through mini-projects and soft-launches. Think of this strategy as an incubator where leaders are seeded, groomed, and cultivated through our seven month fellowship program.
