Opportunity In Living

Opportunity in Living strives to provide quality, individualized residential services for adults with intellectual disabilities. Our purpose is to develop individualized, residential alternatives for adults with intellectual disabilities by providing supportive, community-based, in-home placements. We want every person receiving services to be safe, respected and able to reach his or her full potential. We strive to be competent, creative and committed.

Our organization has been in operation for over 16 years.

We provide placements in host hoome and apartment settings for adults with intellectual disabilities throughout the Denver area. We ensure that placements are successful through formal and informal interviews, as well as a series of visits. Each placement is designed to meet the individual needs of the person receiving services.

We strive to provide quality services. Our administrative staff along with our registered nurse complete monthly home visits. We ahve ongoing communication with our host home providers and direct support staff. We are proactive in addressing the needs of the individuals in our services. We have established well-maintained, positive relationships with each Community Centered Board.

Services provided include:

Assistance with medical, dental, and/or psychatric needs including scheduling, attending appointments and completing follow up.

Support with meal preparation and other household tasks.

Assistance with medication administration

Support with money management

Encouragement to participate in community activities

Assistance with completing personal care tasks

All staff are trained and certified to provide the highest quality of services to our clients.

Our administration has over 25 years experience in the field of human services.
