The Urban Youth Collaborative is a student-led coalition of NYC youth organizing groups fighting to end the school-to-prison pipeline and transform the city’s public schools into nurturing, inclusive, and supportive learning environments.
Our work focuses on the fight for police-free schools in NYC, ending punitive disciplinary practices across NY state, and ending federal funding for student criminalization practices.
We organize to realize our vision of schools that recognize and protect the humanity and dignity of all young people, especially students of color and other marginalized students.
