Vital Immigrant Defense Advocacy and Services

VIDAS was started by a physician's assistant who left his practice in a migrant farmworker clinic to attend law school and advocate for equity and access to justice for immigrants in our community. We now have offices in Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Vallejo, and on the Santa Rosa Junior College and Napa Valley College campuses. VIDAS staff are majority bilingual immigrants of color who provide the full range of immigrant legal representation at low or no cost to clients of all ages from all over the world, including: DACA, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, U and T visas, VAWA, asylum, adjustment of status, and naturalization. We specialize in Removal Defense, including defensive asylum, Convention Against Torture, Withholding and Cancellation of Removal, and administrative closure. We also appeal cases through the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. VIDAS has an ethic of holistic, human-centered, anti-racist advocacy that seeks to support and amplify immigrant power.
