Slippery Fish Initiative, Inc.

Slippery Fish is a cooperative, play-based, inclusion preschool with programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Teachers and teaching-parents approach play through developmentally appropriate, emergent learning, following the interests and needs of each child. The Master Teachers in each class design the curriculum to meet the needs of individual children in the context of the larger group. Our programs incorporate a project-based approach and anti-bias curriculum into children's learning. We value the deep relationships formed among our diverse families. Our community of families work both in and out of the classroom to make Slippery Fish a wonderful place to learn and grow. By participating in the school and classroom together, we nurture connections that sustain our children and families as they grow.
