Provide friendly visits to patients who are travelling their final journey in either Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living/Independent Living facilities or at home. Volunteers read newspapers/stories/books; play board/card games; watch television/DVD movies; write letters or merely provide companionship. Other opportunities consist of office help or even crocheting. The commitment of time is small; only 1-3 hours/week. Patients are located in Atlantic, Cumberland, Ocean and Cape May Counties. An excellent training session is offered at no charge numerous times during the year at the convenience of our volunteer candidates.
