What We Do
The Humane Society of the Piedmont is leading the spay and neuter efforts to reduce the number of unwanted litters; the first step in lowering the numbers of animals unnecessarily euthanized in shelters. In 2006, we opened Planned Pethood, a high quality, low cost spay and neuter clinic, which helps us in working toward this goal.
The Humane Society of the Piedmont has various programs to assist pet owners in caring for their pets. From Food Assistance, Veterinary Care Assistance, to low cost spay, neuter, and wellness assistance.
Educating the community on animal welfare, pet overpopulation, pet owner responsibility, and pet health is something we take very seriously. We love finding new ways to share these important messages with current pet owners, children, rescue organizations, and future pet owners.
