Panthera Africa

Panthera Africa is an education centre and sanctuary dedicated to the welfare of big cats around the world where no breeding or trading will take place.

At Panthera Africa, tourists and volunteers will be educated and awareness will be created concerning the life threatening conditions most predators face every day, both in the wild and in captivity. They will also gain knowledge on how they can contribute and make a difference. There are three different ways to participate !

1. PUBLIC VISITS - Panthera Africa will be open for public visits where people can observe, photograph and learn about our predators. There will be no interaction with our animals.

2. VOLUNTEER PROJECT - The international volunteer project will offer the unique opportunity to be involved behind the scenes: daily tasks will include • Hands-on experience with the predators • Enrichment program • Preparation of food and feeding • Cleaning and maintaining enclosures • General farm work • Educating visitors

3. ENRICHMENT PROGRAM - Panthera Africa believes in enriching our predator’s lives through a variety of activities. Our certified enrichment program will include: • Feeding enrichment • Sensory enrichment • Physical enrichment • Environmental enrichment
