Many persons in the area of implementation are diseased, poor and ignorant.

Vision

To effectively and efficiently utilize available resources to respond to the needs of the vulnerable

Mission

To support and empower vulnerable individuals and households therefore improving on their livelihoods and quality of life

Goal

To facilitate social and economic development among vulnerable people so as to enable them to improve on their standard of living;

Implementation Strategies

Mobilization, Education, Advocacy and Monitoring and Evaluation

In order to tackle vulnerability, particularly the effects of disease, poverty and ignorance, CAEVA’s priority mitigation measures are but not limited to;

(i) - Promote the adoption of better health practices so as to reduce occurrence of preventable diseases like malaria, dysentery, typhoid, ring worms, jigger infestations e.t.c.

(ii) - Implement and support initiatives geared towards improving agriculture. Agriculture is the main source of livelihood for 85% of Ugandans, and contributes to slightly over 60% of GDP. CAEVA supports use of modern farming methods such as mulching, paddocking, irrigation, use of sack and raised gardens e.t.c. that increase output and quality, ultimately rising income and uplifting households from extreme poverty.

(iii) - CAEVA largely relies on resource availability in order to achieve efficiency and far reaching impact in the lives of vulnerable persons and communities, therefore resource mobilization and dissemination is central to the successful implementation of CAEVA’s activities. Our team conducts resource mobilization and dissemination both at a local and international level; at the grassroots level despite most communities living below the poverty line, they have a number of underutilized resources such as land, water, man power among others. We also appeal for and receive donations and sponsorship for our programs from corporate entities and well wishes at all levels. The resources mobilized and disseminated by the CAEVA team include the following; Information, human, material and financial resources.

Health, agriculture and resource mobilization and dissemination are greatly interlinked and none can be addressed in isolation of the other. Therefore, CAEVA conducts all its activities in respect of that relationship.
