Spirit of Mercy children center began in the year 2007. It was founded on 11th May 2007 with only 5 children (2 Boys and 3 Girls) who were orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Spirit of mercy is a centre for orphaned, destitute, disadvantaged, and HIV and AID Affected children’s home. It was founded by Mrs. Salome Wanjiku Gatune who was so much touched by the plight of many orphaned children’s in her community due to HIV/AIDS.
Spirit of mercy children’s centre is in East Africa, Nairobi Kenya. It is situated 12km North East of Nairobi be hide Kenyatta University Adjacent to the Northern by pass road it is in a small town known as Kahawa West phase 2 of Kamae.
