Quality of life is important to each of us. Due to illness, or simply the passing of time, none of us know when we'll need help to maintain that quality.

Deaconess Hospice is able to provide comfort, compassionate care and dignity to our patients through pain and symptom management. Our staff also provides support and guidance to the caregivers and loved ones of our patients during these difficult times. We help enhance the quality of life for everyone involved and allow families to do what they do best...share their love.

We serve Vanderburgh, Posey, Gibson, Spencer, and Warrick counties. As of the Fall of 2023 we are 44 volunteers strong. Volunteers are in the homes, nursing homes, and also provide companionship at the Linda E. White Hospice house. We have specialized volunteers that provide: Music, pet therapy, Hair cuts, and massages to our patients and family. Other services our volunteers provide are: Light housekeeping, companionship, playing cards and reading to patients.
