Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) is part of Southwestern Vermont Health Care, a
comprehensive, not-for-profit health system serving more than 80,000 people in
Vermont, New York, and Massachusetts. The integrated health system includes a
medical center with a 24-hour emergency department, centers for living and
rehabilitation, visiting nurse and hospice care, a regional cancer center, and
five primary care offices. SVMC is dedicated to improving overall community
health, and takes a preventive approach to disease and illness, rather than a
purely reactionary one.
