Because International is a registered 501(c)3 committed to practical compassion – doing the small things that make a big difference. We’d like to put children in the best possible position to succeed. We do this through new innovations, specifically by improving current tools and resources used in daily, regular life. Bottom line: Innovation can change lives. That is what we try to do, change lives.

We try to make things better by making better things. Because International listens to those living in extreme poverty to hear their thoughts, ideas, and dreams for a better life – and then works together to help make those ideas into a reality. The sole purpose for our first project is to help kids stay healthy through sustainable and solid footwear. Over 2 billion people suffer from soil-transmitted diseases and parasites. They live in areas that do not have adequate sanitation. They struggle with proper hygiene. They do not have the right clothing, resources, or healthcare. Many of these diseases and parasites get into the body because people don’t have shoes. There are over 300 million children around the world who do not have shoes, and countless more with shoes that do not fit. Sometimes they receive donations of shoes, but these are kids. Their feet grow and they outgrow donated shoes within a year which leads them right back where they started. Our first project, The Shoe That Grows, is the solution. A shoe that expands five sizes and lasts for years. With this shoe, a kid can always have a pair of shoes that fit. They can stay healthy and happy – ready to take the next steps to their future.
