Travis County Democrats believe that each man, woman and child living in Travis County is a unique and valuable member of our community.

We believe that each individual has the inherent right to realize his or her own potential without discrimination due to race, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, religion, personal beliefs, or economic status.

We believe in individual freedom, equal rights, equal opportunity, mutual responsibility, good stewardship, economic security, and justice.

We believe that all elected and appointed officeholders at all levels of government have an affirmative duty to the people of Travis County, our state, and our nation to support these values.

OUR PARTY

The Travis County Democratic Party is diverse, inclusive, and welcoming to new members. We believe that government should be the servant — not the master – of the people.

The majority of public officeholders in Travis County are Democrats because they share our view of human rights over corporate rights.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Travis County Democratic Party is to recruit and elect public officeholders who support our community values: freedom, equality, opportunity, security, responsibility, and justice.

To achieve these goals, we support free and fair elections, the removal of restrictions on the right to vote, the inherent right of women to be free from government interference with their personal liberty, equal justice for all minorities, economic security for our younger and older citizens, and good stewardship of our environment.
