The mission of Being Adept, a research and science-based nonprofit organization, is to prevent alcohol and drug abuse among adolescents by empowering youth and parents to make informed choices. Our multi-lesson, school-based curriculum validates the student experience while providing youth with evidence-based tools to turn down drugs and alcohol on their own. We make saying no to drugs and alcohol their choice rather than our demand. Our growing program reaches over 10,000 students and parents at an ever-expanding number of public and private middle schools throughout Northern California.
