Dammeh for Humanity

Dammeh (or Dammah), in the Arabic script is a symbol representing the vowel “u”. The word Dammeh is also an Arabic noun that means “joining” or a “hug”. In other words, Dammeh for Humanity stands for giving a compassionate hug for humanity.

MISSION

Dammeh for Humanity is a youth-led nonprofit organization created exclusively for charitable and educational purposes with a 501(c)(3) status. Having an international focus, Dammeh for Humanity works to support vulnerable populations overseas. We seek to help and inspire communities through education, partnerships, and humanitarian projects. 

VISION

To empower humanity by alleviating poverty and enabling marginalized communities to lead a dignified life.

Both our mission and vision reflect our values and deep commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that place all human beings at the core of its projects. Our activities aim to mirror the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Dammeh for Humanity is focusing on four goals, which we believe are fundamental, complementary and in resonance with our mission and vision. 

• SDG 1: No Poverty End poverty in all its forms everywhere
• SDG 2: Zero Hunger
• SDG 4: Quality Education as Education enables upward socioeconomic mobility and is a key to escaping poverty.
• SDG 8: Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all, to substantially increase the proportion of youth in employment, education and/or training.
