Amplify is one of five regional behavioral health action organizations charged by the state of Connecticut to study local needs, evaluate state funded behavioral health programs, and inform and influence the services to be provided by the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). Amplify works with over 100 volunteer members of local Catchment Area and Prevention Councils representing every town in the 37-town region. Council members gather information directly from people living with behavioral health challenges, family members, and towns about local needs and effectiveness of services and prevention initiatives.
Our mission: To strengthen the ability of our region to assess needs, develop plans, and advocate for strategies and resources to advance healthy and inclusive communities.
