Sobre Nós

The Pound Ridge Land Conservancy is a non profit conservation organization whose mission is to protect open space in Pound Ridge, New York. Since our founding 35 years ago we have protected over 350 acres of forests, wetlands and meadows in Pound Ridge. Our office and hub of programming are located at the Armstrong Education Center, an off-the-grid learning center that models a variety of sustainable living practices. It is here where we publically model alternative energy, natural resource protection and conservation-based land management.

The PRLC's summer internship program takes the enthusiasm and skills of college and highschool-aged students and incorporates them into relevent, 'product oriented' projects. These fruits of our interns' labor directly nourish our public programming and land stewardship projects in the field, on the internet and at the Armstrong Education Center. PRLC has a staff of 1 (Land Steward/Educator) and relies largely on volunteers to carry out its work.
