Melwood

Melwood envisions a world where people with differing abilities are fully included. We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization offering job training, employment, community living, recreation opportunities and life skills to more than 1900 people with developmental disabilities in the Washington, DC area. Melwood operates a training center graduating approximately 100 workers with differing abilities each year, and employs approximately 900 people with differing abilities at more than 40 work sites in the National Capital area. Our 108-acre retreat and camp enhances our mission of empowering people with differing abilities to enrich their lives.
