COMMUNITY ACCOUNTING AID & SERVICES INC d/b/a CAS

To empower low income communities, small nonprofits and business startups of Connecticut to elevate their economic well-being and strengthen their communities through financial education and counseling.

CAS provides certified public accountants and accounting professionals to communities that would otherwise not have access to the expertise of the industry. Through partnerships with other nonprofit agencies, CAS provides detailed curriculum to small business owners, nonprofit agencies and individuals.

CAS also provides individual tax preparation services through its relationship with The Village, sponsored by The United Way and the VITA program. Volunteers describe considerable personal satisfaction gained by assisting low income households to recover significant income tax refunds.
