Committee to elect Collene Lamonte

Hello, my name is Collene Lamonte, I am running to become the state representative of the 91st district. I have experienced first hand the displacement of working class families, because it has happened to me. I am a mother two wonderful children and when my husband lost his job during the economic recession, we had to uproot our family, and move across the state to find work. I continued my position as a High School science and math teacher at Muskegon High school. Within the eight years of teaching, I witnessed first hand, the disparities both teachers and students had experienced, from the lack of quality education to the misappropriation of the dwindling resources the schools have access to. That is why I chose to run in 2012 to which I won and why I am running again in 2016.
