Project Description:

We are a non-profit organization based here in Raleigh North Carolina, United States of America. We help widows and orphans, most of our operation are located in the poor region of Africa, Uvira city in Democratic Republic of the Congo and Kabezi city, Bujumbura-rural in the republic of Burundi .Both cities are located on the Great Lake Tanganyika. We also will work with children here in the United States of America to help them learn English and provide tutoring for homework, once we get the funds Jaribu Africa will start with educational, and nutritional support to the Orphans children. It will assist the children aged 5-14 years old at homes and also in the community with donations.

Project Purpose: We believe in God, we believe in the future, and to build the future, we have to start investing in our children and empower those who are less fortune as orphans through education, and training in order to reduce poverty in our communities and war-torn countries. Also, Jaribu Africa, Inc. believes that human right is for everyone; therefore we want to empower Widows to be self-reliable and feel that they have equal right as other women.

Project Proposal:

For orphans children we organize teams of teachers and to help children academic and consoling due to civil war took place in these countries. We provide school supplies, clothing, tuition, healthcare, clean water and education, also sanitation. After school we provide them with sport equipment such as soccer balls, basket balls and volleyballs. Also these children are participating in religious meeting and attending church activities to help them feel that they are loved and they are equal to other who have parents. For widows we provide clothing, adult education, and train them to be dependents and to work hard to provide to their children. We assist them with a small money to buy fishing and farming equipment so that they can generate some income and provide for their families.
