Volunteer Centre Uttlesford has three main roles: 1) To help people wanting to volunteer to find suitable opportunities and support them. 2) To help local voluntary and statutory organisations to find volunteers. 3) To promote the ethos of volunteering locally, providing a centre for information on all aspects of volunteering. Uttlesford is the largest geographical district and the most rural, in the county of Essex . Volunteer Centre Uttlesford aims to increase the number and diversity, of people of all ages, volunteering and taking part in community activities.
