SBC is a civic not-for-profit ballet company that has been entertaining and educating area audiences since 1975. The company offers three major productions at the University of Illinois at Springfield's Sangamon Auditorium each year, and also performs at festivals, schools and nursing homes throughout central Illinois. SBC is committed to providing equitable opportunities for company dancers to be trained in and to perform the art of dance, and to offer opportunities for all members of the central Illinois community to be educated and entertained.
