Mount Horeb Landmarks Foundation, Inc.

The Mount Horeb Landmarks Foundation, Inc. is restoring the oldest remaining schoolhouse in the village, the District #1 Schoolhouse, to promote the historical importance of this landmark and to use the building as a gathering place for residents and visitors. Programs and events are designed to enrich the lives of people of all ages and promote a sense of community. The focus is on events which are historical, educational, social and cultural. A present focus is on arts, cultural crafts and survival skills through a Folk Art School.
