Sobre Nós

The Colorado Parent & Child Foundation (CPCF) promotes and supports high-quality early childhood education programs and family initiatives which inspire parent involvement and facilitate school readiness.

The organization was founded in 1991 by volunteers dedicated to the vision that parents are their child’s first and most influential teachers who prepare their children for success in school and life. The CPCF works in partnership with local organizations across the state to implement the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) program model and/or the Parents as Teachers (PAT) program model. Both are evidence-based early childhood home visitation models that have been shown to close the achievement gap between low-income children and their more affluent peers, to increase family involvement in the development and education of their children, and to strengthen parenting skills of disadvantaged parents of young children.
