Rennie Harris Puremovement is dedicated to preserving and disseminating hip hop culture to a wider audience through workshops, classes, hip hop history lecture-demonstrations, long-term residencies, mentoring programs and public performances. Artistic Director Rennie Harris believes that hip hop is the extension of traditional African dance and culture and is a vital part of the fabric of American society/culture and represents the voice of a new generation.
