Sobre Nós

The NGO Coordination Committee for Iraq (NCCI) was officially established in 2003 by NGOs working in Iraq, and now has a membership of more than 65 local and international NGOs with humanitarian projects serving Iraqis countrywide. As an autonomous body, NCCI serves as a forum for collective NGO activity and platform for serious discussion and planning. In other words, NCCI is responsible for overseeing and facilitating both coordination and information sharing between NGOs, the UN, and other actors in the Iraqi humanitarian community. In turn, NCCI serves to enhance the effectiveness of humanitarian action in Iraq. NCCI also aims to help humanitarian actors sufficiently respond to the Iraqi humanitarian field’s constantly changing needs, unstable security situation, and other relevant developments on the ground.
