The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking. Life is forever changed after an impaired driving crash. Victims and survivors are often left bereaved, injured, and financially devastated. With the emotional, financial, and legal issues they face daily, victims and survivors need support to confront the challenges that lie ahead. In 2005, MADD launched the MADD Helpline, a telephone support service available to victims of drunk driving 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Helpline provides victims with immediate emotional support, information, and referrals to MADD entities nationwide.
