The Open Door Mentoring for Teen Mothers

Our mission is to help parents break generational cycles of dependency and poverty through higher education or program certification utilizing weekly life-skill classes, one-on-one mentoring program, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices. Our vision is that each Open Door program equipping young mothers and fathers will turn recipients into community participants. We assist participants with goal-setting, budgeting, counseling, and parenting skills. We also provide "gap services" such as daycare, utilities, car repairs, gas cards, rent, diaper/wipes, and child support.
