The Bay Philharmonic (Bay Phil) has a unique mission: Enrich the Soul. Inspire the Mind. Delight the Senses.

The word “Philharmonic” is the "love of harmony," meaning we are a source of wonderful sounds and diverse co-existence for the region. Bay Phil exists for the people - to bring communities together and improve residents' quality of life through a shared transportive performing arts experience.

Our purpose is to deliver beauty and joy in an affordable and accessible way. Then, for joy to inspire hope, and for hope to create social change.

Bay Phil presents performance-packed shows honoring the area’s diverse cultures and creating a feeling of belonging. We deliver these events in an engaging and relatable way, hoping to break down the walls separating us and touching people’s hearts.

We value diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Our vision is to give more Bay Area residents—of every ethnic or economic status—the chance to experience and know they belong as guests at performing arts events.

In our 24/25 Season, Bay Phil, formerly the Fremont Symphony, is celebrating its 60th anniversary.
