Kathie Tovo is currently serving her first term as an Austin City Council Member. A resident of Central Austin (and District 9) for more than 20 years, Kathie ran for City Council in 2011 because she was concerned that too many decisions about development and growth were being made on behalf of special interests and not for the good of the citizens of our city.
Now Austin is about to embark on a new 10 districts 1 mayor system, and Kathie Tovo seeks the Distirct 9 council seat. We are running a grassroots campaign with dedicated volunteers and a hardworking staff to get her re-elected.
