LandMarked: Making Memory Move is committed to uplifting and preserving the rich legacies of Black communities by creating powerful public art experiences that center collective memory, community truth-telling, and historical restoration. We believe that honoring Black history is not a backward-looking act, but a vital process of affirming the present realities, resilience, and brilliance of Black people today. Through performance, storytelling, and site-specific interventions, we make space for healing, recognition, and visibility in landscapes where Black narratives have too often been erased or ignored.

We envision a world where the stories that shape our public spaces reflect the full breadth of our shared histories—especially those long marginalized. Our work strives to reimagine monuments and memory as living, evolving practices rooted in community, truth, and collective liberation. By transforming how and where memory lives, we aim to contribute to a cultural landscape that no longer centers domination and erasure, but instead celebrates truth, justice, and joy.
