ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Emergent Works (EW) is a non-profit software organization that trains and employs individuals impacted by mass incarceration through tech literacy. As a technology-centered learning company, we deliver quality products and services, in addition to training people practical skills in order for them to achieve personal growth and professional success in the competitive technology industry. 

Striving to meet and serve people where they are, EW proffers clear pathways for those with lived experience to reach their fullest potential and career ambitions. In a society currently suffering from a racial wealth gap and digital divide, we build programs and products that empower individuals with the necessary skills to combat these inequities. Our purpose is to develop people and community by utilizing technology as a vehicle for social justice. We envision a world where tech education and skills-based training are freely available and easily accessible to all.
