Variety. Variety-The Children’s Charity of Georgia, Tent 21, was established in Atlanta in 1939 and our mission is to aid and enhance the lives of children in need who may be challenged by physical and/or mental disabilities, poverty, abuse or neglect. Variety of Georgia has positively impact thousands of children over the past 70 years, and we are enhancing more direct programs to ensure we directly impact over 4,000 children a year. Variety has three direct giving programs as well as partnering with other organizations that support children. Our programs consist of: Freedom Kids, Future Kids, and Caring for Kids.

The Variety Freedom Program we provide funding for mobility so that kids can get out and about into the sunshine. Variety helps thousands of children each year gain mobility and thereby, their freedom, independence and the chance to join in with other kids in the community. Our program is continually evolving with more customized special needs bikes being presented to a child each year. This program will ensure Georgia's children with mobility challenges will receive mobility bikes, lifts, wheelchairs, walkers, and prosthetic limbs as they deserve to have equal freedom as they grow up. This program allows freedom but also aids in the occupational/physical therapy needs of these children.

A new addition to this program is bikes for kids. Variety is partnering with other organizations to identify underprivileged children who are good students and well-mannered to receive a bike and helmet. To date we have given 317 bikes away to underprivileged children.

Children are our future and with the Variety Future Kids Program we help kids who are disadvantaged or with disabilities achieve more and fulfill their potential. Design to offer assistance to children in a variety of different capacities including: back-to-school program, adaptive learning technology, movie screening for special needs or underprivileged children, holiday party for disadvantaged children, and special events to learning centers, plays, sporting events, museums, and the like.

The Variety Caring for Kids program is design to offer assistance to children in a variety of different capacities. We provide direct assistance for special needs children that require durable medical equipment that is not considered mobility equipment or covered by insurance, peachcare , and Medicaid/medicare. We want the best for our children and new technology is available every year.
