The Greenmount West Community Center Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit located in the Greenmount West neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. We are the place where exposure to opportunity and innovation collide. We provide youth, families, and seniors with sustainable programming and innovative partnerships in a safe, communal art space. GWCCF was conceived in 2017 as a safe space for youth in our rapidly gentrifying community. Since then, we have continuously evolved to center the needs of our community. Today, we:
- Facilitate holistic, year-round programming for residents of all ages
- Center the needs of legacy residents in Greenmount West
- Provide targeted support and enrichment opportunities for Black women and girls
Our social enterprise, the Greenmount West Power Press, is a community screen printing studio launched with seed funding from artist and philanthropist Mark Bradford. In addition to being a hub for community screen printing education, the Greenmount West Power Press screen prints custom orders for individuals and organizations. Every order printed at GWPP supports our work at the Greenmount West Community Center.
Mission
The Greenmount West Community Center Foundation serves as an incubator to develop the greatness and talents of Black youth, families, and seniors. We exemplify consistent, high-quality investment in Baltimore City at large.
Vision
Our vision is a safe, welcoming, and inclusive gathering space where opportunities for growth, learning, and creation are boundless.
