Wisconsin Association of Free and Charitable Clinics

​There are ~99 free & charitable clinics in Wisconsin serving almost all counties in the state. Free & charitable clinics are the safety-net provider for over 150,000 Wisconsinites. Post -ACA, the uninsured rate in Wisconsin is close to 5.3% with many counties still in the double digits for uninsured, and even more residents do not have dental insurance or access to mental health services.

Every industry or group of organizations with similar interests does well to have an association to represent and promote them. This is what WAFCC does for Wisconsin's free and charitable clinics. WAFCC tells the story of Wisconsin's safety-net clinic, their communities, their patients, and their continued need. Until there is no longer a need for free and charitable clinics, WAFCC will be here advocating for Wisconsin's vulnerable populations and for the elimination of health disparities.
