To volunteer, offer and give aid and assistance to persons in danger or distress; to alleviate suffering; to stand ready and give aid in all cases of disaster or emergency caused by an act of God, accident or physical misfortune to individuals, communities or property owned by either.

The Alton Volunteer Emergency Corp , is a all volunteer non for profit search and rescue organiztion that has served the community since 1948. We currently provide disaster assiatace, Gound Search and Rescue, Water Rescue, and stand by EMS at events.
