The Persian Gulf Institute (PGI) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to the independent study of the of the Persian Gulf region. PGI aims to provide impartial and insightful analysis of the region’s political, economic, and social dynamics.

Our Story

The Persian Gulf region faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities. From a shifting energy landscape to new political and security arrangements, a series of developments is prompting significant regional change. PGI recognizes this change and seeks to add a needed fresh perspective to the conversation on regional issues. To accomplish this goal, PGI will draw on the unique experiences and expertise of a rising generation of foreign policy thinkers.

PGI values its independence and receives no funding from foreign governments or lobbying organizations.
