Wister Townhouses is a vibrant, multigenerational community of seniors and families in Northwest Philadelphia. Our mission is to connect residents to resources, programs, and events that support stability, wellness, and community connection. Through outreach, engagement, and partnership, we aim to ensure residents are informed, supported, and empowered to participate in opportunities that enhance their quality of life.

Wister Townhouses is a vibrant residential community in East Germantown, Philadelphia, serving both seniors and families. Our work is rooted in dignity, access, and connection. We believe strong communities are built when residents are informed, supported, and have opportunities to engage with one another in meaningful ways.

Through on-site programming, partnerships with local organizations, and community outreach, we focus on supporting residents’ social, emotional, and practical needs. This includes hosting workshops, wellness activities, resource fairs, educational opportunities, and community-building events designed to meet residents where they are.

We value collaboration, cultural humility, and neighbor-to-neighbor support. Our approach centers the voices and lived experiences of the people who call Wister Townhouses home, ensuring that programs and services are relevant, accessible, and responsive to community needs. Volunteers play an important role in helping us extend our reach and strengthen connections both within Wister Townhouses and throughout the surrounding neighborhood.
