Vera Institute of Justice

Vera is an independent nonprofit organization that partners with government to improve the systems that people rely on for justice and safety.

Vera shares its expertise in research, demonstration projects, and technical assistance with leaders in government and civil society. Vera is based in New York City and has additional offices in Washington , DC , and New Orleans . Most of Vera's work focuses on three areas: youth justice, sentencing and corrections, and immigration. However, the re are also projects on related topics such as substance use and domestic violence.
